Culture

The traditional people of the Ipswich region are the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul people.  These clans are part of the Yagara/Yugara Language Group.  The Yagara language traditionally refers to Ipswich as Tulmur.  The Ipswich Council has recently upgraded the Ipswich Library and Ipswich City Council buildings and have named the public area Tulmur Place providing an area for people to gather and celebrate Ipswich and a place for the community to hold events that everyone can be a part of.

Vision

To support participants to uphold their cultural heritage and encourage their participation in cultural practices.  To be respectful and considerate to everyone's cultural identity.

As an inclusive and culturally sensitive disability provider, we embrace everyone's need to express themselves through their culture whether that be as an indigenous person to Australia or other nationality.
